EndoCareGlobal was founded by Alexia Popescu and Freya Lill in October 2025, driven by their passion for improving endocrine health after discovering the prevalence of thyroid conditions affecting many individuals worldwide. Their initiative aims to foster youth-driven awareness around these important health issues.
At just eight years old, Alexia’s right leg suddenly began to hurt—so badly she couldn’t walk. Days turned into months as doctors searched for answers regarding her endocrine health. Brain scans, hospital visits, and endless tests followed, yet no one could explain what was happening. It wasn’t until her mother noticed a small swelling in her throat that the truth finally surfaced: Alexia had hyperthyroidism, a serious thyroid condition.
She was rushed to the hospital, where she spent three days receiving strong medication to bring her body back under control. But the damage had been done—her leg was nearly lost, all because so little was known about thyroid conditions in children.
What began as fear turned into purpose. Her best friend Freya saw how it was on the outside to suffer from this condition, so they both decided it was time to acknowledge the matter. Alexia and Freya founded ECG to ensure that no one else would suffer in silence. Through youth-driven awareness, education, and compassion, they are helping others understand the invisible struggles behind thyroid and hormonal conditions—and giving a voice to those who’ve long been overlooked.
